The World of Devine Melodies is an important component of the MDM Bank corporate social responsibility strategy. The program involves organizing classical music concerts by famous Russian and international musicians and singers in Russia’s largest cities, as well as providing financial support for the leading regional cultural organizations.

In 2008, as part of the World of Devine Melodies program, the following events have taken place: concerts by the world-renowned violist and conductor Yuri Bashmet with the Moscow Soloists Chamber Orchestra in Rostov-on-Don and Novosibirsk; a solo concert “Baritone for the Ages” by Dmitry Khvorostovsky in Yekaterinburg; a performance by the premiere soprano Hibla Gerzmava in Omsk; a concert of the accomplished violinist Gidon Kremer in Nizhny Novgorod; as well as other performances by world-class Russian and international musicians.

Sponsorship of the Mariinsky Theatre is a special area of activity in the World of Devine Melodies program. Specifically, MDM Bank is an official partner of the Easter Festival, and is one of the sponsors of the Theatre’s 225th anniversary season organized by Valery Gergiev, the Theatre’s artistic director and Kapellmeister (principal conductor).
