A strong corporate governance program guides all the Bank's operations. The Bank is the first and only Russian bank to be awarded a public Corporate Governance Score (CGS) of 6+ (international scale) from S&P, which ranks MDM third in Russia behind NYSE-listed corporates Mobile Telesystems and Wimm-Bill-Dann. We have initiated a range of measures aimed at achieving best practices in international corporate governance, including the creation of a simple and transparent legal structure and the delineation of ownership and management functions. We also issue quarterly financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Shareholders of MDM Bank and URSA Bank announced on December 3, 2008 their intention to combine their equity stakes into a holding company to create one of the leading private universal banks in Russia.
