MDM Bank Announces the Appointment of Alexey Sazonov as Head of Risk Management

Moscow, 29 July 2005 - Today, MDM Bank has announced the appointment of Alexey Sazonov as Head of Risk Management. He will be responsible for the development of the bank's risk management systems and procedures covering credit, market, and operational risks. He will also supervise interest rate and liquidity risk management.
For the last 3 years, Alexey Sazonov was in charge of Risk Management at Trust Investment Bank and Trust National Bank (former Bank Menatep Spb). Prior to that he spent 6 years at the Bank for Foreign Trade (Vneshtorgbank) where he started as a trader and moved up to deputy head of Treasury responsible for the bank's international and domestic financings and secondary market trading.
Mr. Sazonov was born in Moscow in 1971. He is a graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations with a degree in International Economic Relations (1994) and of the London Business School with a Masters Degree in Finance (2002).
